securing a fair immigration system

America was built by immigrants. We need a system that reflects our history while maintaining our security. Most of the people that come into our country do so to make a better life for themselves - just like we all want. Our approach to immigration should reflect that, and Aaron will work to bring both compassion and common sense to the immigration debate.

  • Strengthen border security and prevent illegal immigration

  • Cut the paperwork and bureaucratic red tape involved in the immigration process and stick to measures that evaluate whether someone will be a threat

  • Increase the number of immigration judges to eliminate and prevent the backlog currently affecting immigration courts

  • Increase opportunities for immigrants that have come to America for school to stay in the country and use what they learned here

  • Invest in systems that prevent immigrants from overstaying their visas but allow extensions for law-abiding immigrants

  • Prevent legal work visas, such as the H-1B visa, from being used to undermine the salaries of American workers
