managing and balancing the federal budget

Because the Washington political machine has failed to create a vibrant economy that properly rewards American workers, too many families are reliant on government assistance of one form or another. Add to this the fact that too many politicians in Washington believe that stuffing pork into the federal budget is the best way to keep the economy moving in their home district and we have a fiscal situation that threatens our very nation.

  • Balance the federal budget as quickly as possible through a combination of spending reductions and increased revenue generation

  • Reform the income tax code in a way that stimulates the economy, but is “revenue neutral”

  • Add revenue through a BTU tax that helps conserve natural resources and slows our drive to automate jobs

  • Make smart investments in our defense structure while eliminating wasteful spending in our military procurement processes

  • Reduce dependence on government assistance programs by raising wages for the working poor
